NARROW uses a random browser identifier to save your guesses, scores and streaks. You can play without an account. When you complete all five questions, your score appears on the daily leaderboard under an automatically generated player name. You can replace that name with a nickname. Your email address and browser identifier are never displayed.

Save your progress

Optional email sign-in links your guesses, nickname, streak and friend groups across devices. Supabase manages the verified email address and sign-in session; Resend delivers verification emails. NARROW’s game database stores a private account identifier. Your email never appears on leaderboards. Sign-in attempts are limited using short-lived hashed identifiers to reduce abuse. If both your guest browser and saved account have played a day, the account’s existing round is kept. Signing out starts a separate guest session.

Friend groups and sharing

Group scores are visible only to members. Anyone with a group’s invite link can join, so share it with the people you want in the group. A shared score image includes only your score, daily number, round scores and streak; it does not include your name, questions or answers. “Beat my score” links share a fixed score, number of correct estimates and the date of a completed round. Anyone with the link can see that target and compare their own completed score from the same day. Links do not expose email addresses, player identifiers, questions or answers.

Question suggestions

Question ideas, optional answers and source links go to the creator’s private review inbox. They are not published automatically. Please avoid including personal information. Submission limits use your player record and a short-lived, one-way network identifier; raw IP addresses are not saved in the game database.

What the owner can see

A private dashboard shows aggregate visits, game starts, completed games, return visits and use of the result-sharing buttons. It also shows general referral sources and campaign labels. It does not show a list of individual visitors.

Analytics stay in NARROW’s own database. We do not add an outside analytics service, advertising tracker or browser fingerprint. We do not store IP addresses or full referring URLs in our analytics records. The hosting provider processes requests to run the website.

Your choice

You can switch off optional visit and sharing events below. We also respect your browser’s Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. Your game progress still saves; the owner can still see aggregate participation and completion figures calculated from saved games.

Your browser, your progress

Clearing this site’s cookies starts a new player record in that browser. Playing on a different device starts a separate guest record unless you sign in with the same account. Theme and sound preferences are stored on your device.
